What is it like to be a pupil at AAT?

“It’s amazing! It’s amazing because pupils are kind and friendly. The teachers make the learning fun and active. All the classroom have displays that show what we are learning and we have lots of different ways for pupils to have roles and responsibilities.”

William, Year 6
Colsterworth CofE Primary School

“It’s exciting because you get to have fun with your learning but you learn lots. We get to do different jobs like Eco Warriors, Playground Leaders, School Council and Peer Mediators and that means we do more to help our school and we are Agents of Change!”

Dougie, Year 5
Colsterworth CofE Primary School

“Being a pupil at Colsterworth is very educational because the learning is really important and all the teachers make the learning fun and they let me read lots. When I read I feel like I am in a different world.”

Millie, Year 4
Colsterworth CofE Primary School

“I love Elsea Park because of our 3Rs to remind us what we can do to make the world a better place and to make us an even better person to the world. I also love TTRS because its an educational game to help us learn and have fun and that is why I love this school, it’s amazing and educational, it helps us to be the best we can be.”

Hazel, Year 4
Bourne Elsea Park CofE Primary Academy

“It’s special because it is a safe place to make mistakes, we help each other in lessons and we all respect each other when we are learning. Our teachers help us to learn, understand our subjects and make new friends. Our teachers teach us something new every day. I like TTRS because it lets us practise our times tables.”

Alessa, Year 5
Bourne Elsea Park CofE Primary Academy

“Bourne Elsea Park is special because I like the enthusiasm of the whole school. We all push and help each other to do good writing, help our friends and be ourselves. I like our Christian Values because they teach us how to keep going when things are hard and to persevere.”

Tilly, Year 2
Bourne Elsea Park CofE Primary Academy

“At Bourne Abbey, you get to learn about exciting topics such as ‘Adventure Through the Amazon’ and take part in workshops as well as go on school visits to enhance learning. Our teachers help to prepare us for secondary school. For example, we had an e-safety workshop about how to stay safe online and transitioning to secondary school. Being a Wellbeing Warrior develops my character and I get to help others. I have met with parents and carers about different resources they could use for wellbeing and I’ve helped to deliver Collective Worships as part of Wellbeing Wednesdays. I’ve helped others in school to understand their character traits as part of our Character Education learning such as motivation and self-regulation.”

Alexa, Year 6
Bourne Abbey CofE Primary Academy

“Your voice is listened to at Bourne Abbey. I am a UNICEF Ambassador and I get to help others to understand and live out their rights. We went to another local primary school and delivered a Collective Worship about UNICEF rights. In our school children can be Collective Worship representatives, Reading Ambassadors, Playground Leaders, Student Councillors, E-Safety Champions and more. Our school has the WOW factor as part of our High Five.”

Elliot, Year 4
Bourne Abbey CofE Primary Academy

“It is a special place to learn because all adults know we are SMART in different ways. I am Number SMART. Everything we do in school is through our 3Rs and our UNICEF rights. An important right to me is having the right to an education. Our Christian Values help us to do the right things in life such as persevering and being a good friend.”

Lincoln, Year 2
